A former classmate of mine, a respected colleague and a well-regarded
medium in the United States, has a tumour in her pituitary gland that
may be inoperable. Last night, I placed her name in my healing circle
and meditated on her recovery.
I believe in absent healing – also called distance healing – because we
have the ability to transmit our thoughts and feelings to others. It’s
the same principle as when we think about someone, and then she “picks
up” those thoughts, picks up the telephone, then says she suddenly had
an urge to call. During absent healing, we send our love and concern to
faraway friends – and even strangers! – and hope for their recovery.

I don’t often do soul rescue work or investigate hauntings, but my
friends – let’s call them Helen and Phil – had begun to wonder if
something else besides their family was inhabiting their beautiful
three-story Tudor-style house in toney Etobicoke.
The couple and their young daughters Amelia and Jane had just moved
into the home. Within days of getting settled, Helen began feeling a
presence in the basement, in the unfinished laundry room beneath the
stairs. Being in the space made her feel sad. And then one night, as
she was leaving the room with an armload of towels, she thought she saw
a shadow run by her.
